The entirety of Teixeira is composed of a massive, interconnected, many-layered fungal forest which is said to have spawned from a single spore of Psilofyr which arrived in the [[Mobius System]] from elsewhere in space and took up orbit around [[Mobius]]. > [!Table of Contents]+ > 1. [[#Worldbuilding References]] # Moon Teixeira is a maze of tunnels linking caverns permeated with fungus that behaves like a huge life form, a single organism that covers almost all the parts of the moon. The terrain of the tunnels is described as spongy, grey, and humid, similar to the outside of a brain. Fungi are pervasive and ubiquitous. A typical tunnel in Teixeira has its walls covered in slime, mushrooms, and other fungus. It is common for the vegetation to be so thick it blocks a tunnel completely. Damaged fungal life rejuvenates quickly, even a few hours if the location is ideal. Teixeira is also home to a wide variety of fauna. Large and healthy populations of amphibians, insects, reptiles and rodents feed on the plentiful fauna, which are in turn eaten by larger fauna. It is also home to countless groves and circles of [[Myconids]] as well as a native population of [[Sinding]] and [[Lax]]. Teixeira is also home to primal mud: a thick organic sediment that ranges in color and texture, from thick, dark brown to viscous transparent slime. It settles in depressions in the landscape. Primal mud is absorbed by the roots of Teixeira, providing nourishment to the extensive fungal flora. A creature can be healed with primal mud, however the exposure has to be brief, as prolonged exposure caused the primal mud to break down living tissue into raw organic compounds. Primal mud is also the source of Teixeira's mushroom arches, also called an arch of wonder: bioluminescent purple mushrooms that formed an arch over a tunnel. # Deity Psilofyr is a wholly unique entity not bound to a singular form, but rather existing in many places at once simultaneously. Their consciousness resides within a singular and extensive fungal root system that spans the entirety of Teixeira. To make a physical appearance, Psilofyr can quickly assume a fungoid form and manifest before whatever creature or object they desire to interact with. The Spore Laird can not only manifest bodies in different places at once, but each can appear wildly different. Known forms include but are not limited to; titanic toadstools with numerous pseudopods, morels with multiple eyes and mouths, rock-like truffles with toothy maws, giant red and white toadstools, and blue slime molds with a plethora of eyes and limbs. The core philosophy of the Spore Laird is that the needs of the many outweigh those of the few. The death of individuals is rarely considered important for both myconids and non-fungus friends alike, as the virtues of self-sacrifice and community duty are highly prevalent both in themself and their people. Indeed the Carrion Sovereign does not heavily value the lives of their individual aspects, as more could always be conjured in most situations. In their mind, death is just a step in the formation of a new lifeform, and the dead did not die in vain as they continue to give back to the world at large. # Worldbuilding References **Teixeira (deity):** [Psilofyr (Forgotten Realms deity)](https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Psilofyr) **Teixeira (moon):** [Feydark (Forgotten Realms)](https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Feydark)
