# Star
Olearius is a blue giant star that radiates with a deep, sapphire blue light. It is much larger than its binary partner, with a radius approximately sixteen times larger than [[Naboth]]. Olearius is also approximately six time more massive than [[Naboth]], and is slowly accreting mass from [[Naboth]] through mass transfer—as gravity pulls a long trail of stellar gas from [[Naboth]] and draws it into Olearius.
Despite being the larger of the binary pair, Olearius shines much more dimly than [[Naboth]]. Olearius' dimmer output—combined with its distance from [[Mobius]] and the fact that it is generally only visible in the sky during twist-out—means that despite being a star, Olearius is associated with night and darkness.
Because the planet [[Mobius]] is the origin of intelligent life in the system as well as the dominant political and cultural power, the entire system consisting of Olearius, [[Naboth]], and all their satellites is commonly referred to as the "[[Mobius System]]," with scientists and non-native alien species sometimes using the more technical designation "Mobius *AB*" to refer to the system, with "Mobius *A*" referring to Olearius and "Mobius *B*" referring to [[Naboth]].
# Deity
Olearius is the goddess of death, darkness, and the [[Underworld]]. She is said to preside over the [[Underworld]] realm, where she receives a portion of the dead. Her appearance is described as half blue and half flesh-colored and further as having a gloomy, downcast appearance. She is often described as a black-robed goddess who drives through the sky in a chariot pulled by horses.
Olearius presides over funerals and burial rites,
